Backups4All offers a choice of two backup applications to be installed on your computer.

Our home and SOHO service comes with a very easy to use application which allows backups to be configured with a few clicks of the mouse. A backup set is defined to include all files to be stored on the secure servers, a schedule is set and you are emailed full details of actions taken each time a backup or restore is performed. This product is designed for the Windows platform and even users with little PC expertise should have few difficulties in using it.

Business account customers are provided with an application offering more versatility; allowing multiple backup sets and schedules to be defined as well as allowing email and database servers to be backed up in addition to files. This product will run on multiple operating system types including Windows, Max OS X, Linux, Solaris and Novel Netware.

The user interfaces of both these applications are cleanly laid out and easy to use. Functions and buttons are self-explanatory and there are quick start guides and video demos available elsewhere on this site.

Using the backup manager program or web interface you can restore your data to any computer you like anywhere in the world 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Backups4All provides flexible retention policy settings and allows you to restore snapshots of your data sets as at a particular point in time.

If you are a business account customer and have a large amount of data to restore, as an additional service we can arrange to provide a copy of that data on portable storage media to be delivered to your site for the recovery operation, saving Internet download times. All data on the portable media will be securely encrypted and will only be available for use after you have entered your pass phrase into the restoration software. If the media were lost or stolen during transportation, nobody would have access to your data.

Using Backups4All, it is possible to run scheduled backups to the laptop disk drive or removable media and then to upload all changes to the Backups4All servers as soon as an Internet connection is available. This is a great option for business users who are frequently out of the office and who only have occasional Internet access.
